Custom Control4 drivers and integration
If Control4 doesn’t talk to it yet, we make it talk. We write our own drivers in-house, so the equipment you already own, or the product you actually want, becomes a proper part of the system.
Pro audio, cameras, other control systems and the odd pool pump.
LEA Professional amplifiers
Amplifier control from Control4 remotes, keypads and touchscreens.
Dante audio
Switching and routing Dante audio sources to zones from Control4.
TP-Link VIGI cameras & NVRs
Camera feeds and recorder integration alongside the rest of the house.
Loxone Miniservers
Control4 and Loxone working together in the same building.
KNX lighting & heating
KNX devices controlled from the Control4 interface people already use.
Gates, garage doors & pool plant
Relays, contacts and controllers brought into scenes and schedules.
From “can it be done?” to a driver that just works.

Send us the make and model
And what you want it to do. A link to the manual or API documentation helps.
- 02
We check how it can be controlled
IP, RS-232, HTTP/REST, relay or contact. We tell you honestly what’s possible.
- 03
Built and tested on site
The driver is written in-house and proven against the real equipment in your house.
- 04
Documented and supported
It becomes a proper part of the system, written down and looked after like everything else.
Drivers that never worked properly
A lot of Control4 frustration comes down to one bad driver: a device that drops offline, a status that’s always wrong, or a feature that was promised but never delivered. We diagnose it, then either fix the driver or replace it with one of our own.
Because we write drivers ourselves, we’re rarely stuck. If a project stalled because something couldn’t be integrated, that’s usually where we start.
Custom Control, our driver studioWhat we’re usually asked to fix
- Drivers that drop connection or need constant restarts
- Devices that only half work, or show the wrong status
- Drivers abandoned by whoever wrote them
- Workarounds that should have been a proper integration
Common questions
Can you write a Control4 driver for any device?
If the device has a control interface, such as IP, serial, an HTTP API, or a relay or contact input, we can almost always bring it into Control4. Send us the make and model and we’ll tell you straight whether it’s doable.
Can you fix a driver someone else wrote?
Often, yes. We regularly improve drivers that never worked properly, or replace them with one of our own when that’s the better option.
Do you only write drivers for your own customers?
No. Custom Control, our driver studio, also works with other installers and integrators who need something Control4 can’t yet talk to.
Will a custom driver survive Control4 updates?
We build to Control4’s driver framework and test against current software. If an update ever affects one of our drivers, we look after it as part of supporting your system.
Got something Control4 can't talk to?
Send us the make and model and what you'd like it to do. We'll tell you straight whether it can be done.
